Is there additional charges for hosting panel software?
We include the DirectAdmin personal license (1 user and 10 domains) for free with all our Linux Reseller VPS packages.
Both “lite” and “standard” are available during checkout.
Lite = 10 user accounts and 50 domains.
Standard = unlimited user accounts and domains.
What is a VPS
A VPS stands for Virtual Private Server and all it really is, is a complete Linux/Windows Operating System with its own RAM, CPU and disk space. Basically, a complete server, but not a physical thing. Think of a very big physical server that is divided into smaller sections. (Each represented as a VPS)
What is a hypervisor?
A hypervisor in this context represents the container or owner of the VPS instances. Basically, the software / hardware combination that manages the virtual private servers.
What's Hyper-V?
Hyper-V is the name given by Microsoft that represents their Server Virtualization technology. It is the encapsulation of virtualization product.
What is WHMCS?
WHMCS is a commercially licensed, automated web-hosting, domain management and billing system used for provisioning hosting and registering domains. This works on DirectAdmin, cPanel and Plesk.
What Linux distribution to you offer?
We currently provide Cento OS7 for stability and easy of use. Personal preference may be provided, but this is dependent on the Hosting Panel software compatibility matrix for each product.
Please explain dedicated hosting on a VPS
VPS hosting is when you have your own dedicated hosting environment. You do not share you space or resources with anyone else and have full control over your all aspects of your server space. You have unlimited growth potential with blistering speed!
What do YOU backup?
We backup all client hosting spaces on your VM every night.
We also backup the full server / VM weekly.
You are able to restore the daily data yourself. Full VM restore requires you to log a ticket.
Do you manage the VPS?
Yes, the VPS with related shared hardware and software is all managed by us 24/7. We do supply you with full root access, should you need this!
What software is pre-loaded?
We pre-load the Linux distribution that you need. We also install the preferred Panel Software. Currently limited to DirectAdmin, Plesk and cPanel.
Do I get full control of the hosting?
Yes. You may set your own limits within your reseller hosting space and operating system.
How do you deal with Hosting Panel Software in my VPS?
We provide the basic DirectAdmin licensed version for free (this allows 1 user and 10 domains). Other versions of DirectAdmin available during checkout. Both 10 users with 50 domains, and unlimited will be provides as additional options.
What billing system options do you offer?
For Linux we recommend WHMCS for all panels. Please provide your license.
Can I upgrade and downgrade my VM?
You may upgrade your VM and reclaim the additional resources in the VPS hosting panel.
Downgrade are more complex, since your current VPS hard drive disk may exceed the size limit of smaller packages. Please contact us for this.
What about Softaculous?
DirectAdmin, cPanel and Plesk allows for Softaculous installation. Once the hosting panel has been installed you can follow https://www.softaculous.com/ installation guide or request us to assist. The Softaculous license is on us!.
