Why do I need a domain name?
The domain (name) is used to identify and also represents your website address when “www” is added in front of the domain and also helps to identify your Email address when an ‘@’ sign is added in front of the domain name.
How long before the registered domain is active?
Once the domain registration is complete and payment received, the domain will be registered with the registry and active within the hour.
Please explain propagation time?
After any NS (name server) update, DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours to complete, but usually takes effect within a few short hours. This depends on how long an ISP takes to update their cache across the globe.
Do you offer free domain registrations?
The Business Plus hosting plan comes with free domain registration in the form of credit applied to your hosting account after payment has been received.
What if my domain with preferred extension has been taken?
Not to worry!
There are many alternative domain extensions that will work just as well. Gone are the days where you are confined to only a handful of options when it comes to domain extensions.
Can my domain be transferred away to someone else without my knowledge?
No! As long as you are the only one who has access to the registrant (owner) Email address and do not accept any transfer request that was not authorized by yourself, your domain is safe.
Will you be able to transfer my domain elsewhere?
No!
Only clients can accept transfer request which are sent to their personal Email address associated with the domain.
What does "redacted" mean?
This simply means that the domain owner details are not accessible and can therefore not be viewed by the public.
Are you able to host any domain?
Yes!
We may not be able to register each and every extension but if your domain is hosted elsewhere, it can be provisioned (added) on the host panel and the (D)NS can then be pointed to the host panel on our servers.
